On March 31, Canada held a new Express Entry draw, issues 284 invitations to apply for a permanent residence visa. A candidate who wants to apply Canada pr visa needed to have a nomination from a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) to receive an invitation to apply. Eligible candidates needed a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of at least 778.
The new score may seem high, compare to the previous draw where the cutoff CRS score was 449, but candidates from the provincial nominee program get the 600 additional points which added to their score when they receive a provincial nomination.
Candidates who submitted their express entry profile before 16 March had the required minimum score of 778, as per the tie-break rule. Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) publish the cut-off time for the tie-break rule as an administrative requirement, regardless of whether there was an actual tie.
